Hello all! My first blog post, yeah for team revolution. So for those of you who didn't know I went down to Chattanooga, TN for a triathlon this weekend. The race was held on Sunday July 15th, there were 1,204 people. I was number 1,108th in line for swim start. So we started out in the river, doing a 1500 meter swim down stream, supposedly with a current pushing you along, i did not feel a current at all. It was a hard swim, I have only trained in the pool and i have not perfected the lookin

Are you going to spin on Thursday?
We did a great 3 hour ride today. At one point the wind was so crazy, we were literally leaning at a 45 degree angle into it. I gave every bit of energy I had to ride 10 mph!! We rode by your next of the woods (Midland rd out to Adie then through Westport to Creve Coeur, up a huge hill - Hog Hallow Rd (Chesterfield) and back via Ladue, Spoede, clayton. Todd and Ed rode onto 40 and rode in the fast lane. The cops stopped them as they were coming back up the on ramp and scolded them!
What a beautiful day!!
I will not be at thurs spin as Phil and I are going to Seattle to visit his family. I'll be back in time for our meeting/happy hour.
Saturday is supposed to be beautiful! I have to skip this one, as I work Saturdays (until the 12th). YAY! After that I am golden on weekends...like normal people. lol
Im struggling w/ deciding on the ride tonight. My sciatic nerve is really hurting, but I cant get into the chiropractor until tomorrow...maybe Ill call back... Anyway, if I dont go to the Chiro, then its like permission to abuse my body one more day! :) It doesnt hurt when I run or bike, just when I sit! So, I might do an easy run from home w/ the dog, he would like that. I might cut back on the biking this week... Im about ready for a short break! :)
Jason did alright at his race...thanks to his excellent pit crew (i.e. me!). He placed 5th out of 8 (I think). He had some trouble on the 3rd lap (40+ min laps). He got really tired and then got his bike stuck in the mud and strained his back getting it out. I think he would have enjoyed it more if it were a 2 hr and not a 3 hr race!
